Piece & Quiet Guesthaus — a cozy, light-filled retreat run by mother-daughter team Julaine Cabot and Aimee Viehmann — is made for quilting friends who want to sew, relax, and recharge. Housed in the 1947 cottage Julaine grew up in (and once her mother Olivia’s quilting hub), the Guesthaus blends crisp, clean design with lots of natural light, roomy surfaces, and warm original character — including lovely pine floors throughout — while later additions expand comfort and function.
Sleeping for up to four quilting guests across three bedrooms: a queen room, a double room, and a twin room with two beds. Each room includes bed linens, hangers, and room-darkening shades. A newly remodeled bathroom offers a walk-in shower, fluffy towels, and a washer/dryer; shampoo, conditioner, and body soap are provided. The updated kitchen is fully equipped with a full-size refrigerator (stocked bottled water), coffee and maker, dishwasher, wine glasses and extra prep space for snacks and shared meals. The living room features comfortable seating, TV, a small library of vintage quilting books for inspiration, house Wi‑Fi and a portable Bluetooth speaker.
Quilters’ conveniences are thoughtfully provided: a dedicated sewing space with Creative Grids cutting mats (36″ x 24″), basic Creative Grids rulers, design boards, two Oliso irons, ironing boards, and extension/power strips — everything to sit and sew until your heart is content. The home’s history runs through the rooms: Julaine remembers Olivia clearing the dining room to mount quilts for hand quilting and hosting quilting bees; Aimee remembers playing under those quilts and falling in love with fabric.
Outside, relax on the seating area and enjoy views of rolling farmland, a creek and lush forest. The Guesthaus is an easy walk to Edelweiss Winery, a grocery store, dollar store and a Mexican restaurant. Plus Quilting Bee Fabrics is just a short drive away (less than 2 miles). Please note: no pets and absolutely no smoking on the property. Full amenities are listed below on the website.

We are now accepting reservations! To avoid Airbnb and VRBO fees we are taking direct bookings — please call or email us with the days you wish to stay. A $200 deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your reservation.
