Underground Railroad Sampler Block of the Month – 2026

This spring, a new Block of the Month is coming: The Underground Railroad Sampler Quilt! 🌟

We’ll kick off this meaningful journey in March 2026, running for 12 months, with an exciting 13th month featuring a guest speaker discussing the Underground Railroad and the important role quilts played (stay tuned for the speaker announcement!).

Each month, you’ll receive fabric kits to create 1-2 blocks, with 2 months reserved for borders. The finished quilt will measure 82″ x 110″. While backing and binding are not included, each kit will come with 1 quilt label to help tell the story of each block we make.

The cost for this program is $25/month, and monthly pickups will occur on the first Monday of each month. Feel free to drop by any time on that Monday to pick up your fabrics—you’re welcome to sit and sew, with the shop open until 8 PM on pickup dates! 📅✂️ Shipping is also available for those who are not local.

Pre-registration is required and is limited to 50 participants. If you already own the Quilt in a Day Underground Railroad Sampler book by Eleanor Burns & Sue Bouchard, you can register for just $5. If you need the book, registration is $20.
